D Brown secures place on £1billion construction framework

D Brown Building Contractors Ltd join the ranks of national construction companies Kier, Lakehouse and Willmott Dixon to secure their place on the LGSS 4 year Construction Framework.

The Local Government Shared Services (LGSS) Construction Framework will be used for repairs and renovation, refurbishment, demolition, modular build, extensions and new builds on a variety of schemes including schools, hospitals and housing.

LGSS is a shared services venture set up in October 2010 by Cambridgeshire County Council and Northamptonshire County Council and ranks as one of the largest ventures of its kind.

Selected contractors will also be in line for work from LGSS partners Norwich City Council, Northampton Borough Council, Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Olympus Care Services.

Kurt Mason, Financial Director of D Brown Building Contractors Ltd, said the firm was delighted with the news and will seek to take full advantage of the framework to further expand the business operations into Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
